Who we are

What we collect and why

Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), vessel and message. We use this to answer your enquiry.

Quote request: your name, email address, phone number, the type of work, a description, details about the vessel, where she is lying, preferred dates, budget range and any photos you upload. We use this to prepare a quote and plan the work.

The information is sent to us by email, and you receive an automatic confirmation. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with anyone except as described below.

Legal basis

We process enquiries and quote requests in order to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and on the basis of the consent you give in the quote form (Art. 6(1)(a)). Spam protection and the technical operation of the website are based on our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quote requests are kept in our email for as long as we need them to follow up, and no longer than one year after our last contact. Photos uploaded with a quote request are also stored on our web server and are deleted automatically after 12 months. If you become a customer, invoices and accounting records are kept for as long as Norwegian accounting law requires.

Services we use

• Hosting and email: the website and our email are hosted by JCloud in Norway.
• Spam protection: our forms are checked by CleanTalk, which processes data such as your IP address, email address and the content of the form in order to filter out spam, and may set technical cookies for this purpose.

Our log shows posts from our Instagram account. The images are stored on our own server, so viewing the log does not send any data to Instagram. The links to Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp only take you to those services if you click them, and their own privacy policies then apply.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising. The only cookies set for visitors are the technical cookies from the spam protection described above.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us at larsen@blrig.com.

If you believe we process your personal data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
