Emil Larsen

Emil Larsen is the general manager and a seasoned sailor who normally serves as boatswain aboard the Norwegian full‑rigger Sørlandet. He has a strong background in traditional rigging and has sailed on a wide range of smaller vessels throughout the years.

Emil dedicates most of his free time to traditional rigging, while also keeping an active interest in modern rigging techniques. With several years of hands‑on experience as a rigger, he combines classic craftsmanship with contemporary knowledge. He is known for precision, patience, and a deep commitment to preserving Nordic maritime heritage.

Jonathan Becher

Jonathan Becher is a true workhorse and one of the most dedicated traditional riggers you will meet. He knows nearly every Danish wooden sailing vessel still in operation and has several years of experience as a sailor on square‑rigged ships.

Jonathan is a capable and versatile rigger with a deep understanding of traditional methods, solid materials, and practical solutions. His experience, work ethic, and knowledge make him an invaluable part of the team.

Our passion lies in preserving Nordic maritime heritage. Whether restoring a Colin Archer–inspired cutter or maintaining modern rigging systems, we approach every project with precision.
